Four weeks to go

Just four more weekends, then the race is finally upon us! The starting shot for the biggest German half marathon, one of the largest of its kind worldwide, will be fired at 10:05 am on April 8. You now have four and a half weeks to get prepared for the big day. You should have already broken in your new running shoes at this stage, and you should be establishing your idea pre-race nutrition now, too.

Trainings tip: A 10 km pace run

At four weeks before the half marathon, it is a good time to fit a 10 km-race into your training. If no race is happening near you at this time, a trial run will do it as well, either on your own or with others. You do not have to find an exact course, just something in the range of 9-12 km. This will give you a sense of your speed endurance, which is an important part of training for a half marathon.

Back in the hangars of the Tempelhof Airport

After a two-year interim solution in STATION Berlin, the BERLIN VITAL Spring is returning this year to the hangars of the former Tempelhof Airport. That means more space for the expo, as well as (partially covered) outdoor areas. Starting during the crisis in 2015, the hangars were used to house refugees. The Expo BERLIN VITAL Fall for the BMW BERLIN-MARATHON in mid-September will be held there again as well.

New: The Expo BERLIN VITAL Spring will now only last two days (Friday and Saturday, April 6-7).

Get the spring feeling on wheels

While the Berlin Half Marathon is already sold out for runners, it is still possible to register for the inline skating race! Accompanied by the first warming sunbeams, 1,500 leisure skaters and professionals will start the new inline season together on April 8. What could be nicer than lacing up the inline skates after a long and bitter winter? So let's get rolling! Click here to register.

Outfit 2018: A fresh new style to start off the year

The current Berlin Half Marathon Collection will be available at the Sport and Health Expo BERLIN VITAL Spring (April 6-7, 2018), which will again take place in the hangars of the former Tempelhof Airport. Whether you shop online starting on March 26 or wait until the expo, the new merchandise will be available, as long stocks last. Stop by and complete your fresh new look for spring and summer. Come see what we have!
