Motivation for the 40th GENERALI BERLIN HALF MARATHON

In about four weeks the 40th GENERALI BERLIN HALF MARATHON will get underway (see point 2). If anyone is still looking for motivation tips for the event on April 5th, maybe new running shoes will do the trick (see point 4). There is just enough time to break them in—maybe even during a speed test, which you should consider doing right about now (see point 1). Points 5 and 6 will help you decide which foods you should be putting into your body.

Training tips for the hardcore & the leisure runners

About four weeks before the half-marathon, a brisk 10k competition is a good opportunity to test your form. If there is no such race nearby at this time, a fast training session between nine and twelve kilometres will do. It is always fun to do this with other speedy friends, as it hurts less when you are together. This is a good test of your speed, which fits well into the training plan for the half marathon. For the leisure runners, ignore the watch, but orient yourselves instead on the number of kilometres. Then three weeks before the start, a quiet run of 1:30 to 2:10 hours is recommended. This recommendation applies equally to both the hardcore athletes and the leisure runners.

Event update!

At the moment, we are still planning the 40th GENERALI BERLIN HALF MARATHON. Of course, we are following the developments concerning COVID-19 (Corona virus) on a daily basis and work closely with the German health authorities as well as the local authorities. We will proactively inform our participants about the official orders and procedures that will be indicated from the competent regional and municipal authorities with regard to the event.

Starting spots for the BMW BERLIN-MARATHON

Run for CHILDREN stands for the joint charitable commitment of the Children for a Better World children’s aid organisation and the BMW BERLIN-MARATHON. SCC EVENTS provides 100 extra starting spots for the BMW BERLIN-MARATHON 2020, which can be purchased for a minimum donation of 1,000 Euros. SCC EVENTS waives the actual participant fee for the BMW BERLIN-MARATHON, so that 100 percent of these revenues go directly to the charity projects. With the proceeds, children and young people living in poverty in Berlin will be supported in shaping their lives with courage and self-confidence. As the event’s official sports nutrition partner, we will be supplying you with energy. To give you the opportunity to test our products during training, we have put together an attractive test box you can order directly from us. Part of the box is of course our Beetster, the official energy drink you will get along the track.
