Motivated to GENERALI BERLIN HALF MARATHON

We are in the "final phase" before the GENERALI BERLIN HALF MARATHON 2022. With about a month to go until your very own running success, the name of the game is to keep your motivation high and your mentality intact! The successful German long-distance runner Irina Mikitenko said that running success is based on three pillars: Training, regeneration and mental strength. And what is true for muscles is also true for willpower: the more you train it, the stronger it becomes. Keep your goal in mind and strengthen yourself with things that motivate you. Your medal is already waiting for you.
We have one more important note for all participants. Today the latest edition of the SARS-CoV-2-Infection Protection Measures Ordinance passed by the State of Berlin comes into force. At the moment we are working out the current regulations for the start requirements for the GENERALI BERLINER HALF MARATHON on this basis. In the next week a mailing will go out to you. Please have a look in your inbox and if necessary in your spam folder.

1.

There are still starting places available

Almost one week before the official closing of the registration period, we had to close the registration for the GENERALI BERLIN HALF MARATHON 2022 for runners. However, starting places are still available through our tour operators and charities until March, 10.

Registration for inline skaters, wheelchair competitors and handbikers will remain open until the registration deadline on March, 10.
2.

Use a drinking system — try it out!

In order to obtain tangible results for future environmental protection measures, the BMW BERLIN- MARATHON 2021 initiated the drinking systems project, for which we sought participants who wanted to use their own drinking systems during the race. The results are: 88.5% of the runners surveyed would run again with a hydration system and 83.5% would also recommend it to other runners. The arguments for using a hydration system are: Waste avoidance, space for additional things, no intermediate stops, drinking is always possible. Try it out and help save the environment— maybe at the GENERALI BERLIN HALF MARATHON on April 03, 2022. We will have plenty of refill stations for you along the course. We recommend doing a training run ahead of time with the hydration system that you plan on using during the race.
