The countdown has begun
In just over two weeks we will see you at the start of the BMW BERLIN-MARATHON. Are you ready for your big day? Here is our checklist for September, which will help you get ready for the home stretch of your very own Road 2 Berlin Legend. Our preparations are also in full swing to roll out the red carpet for our participants on September 24-25. For us, the red carpet means the Berlin asphalt, which will lead you along the blue line through the capital to the finish behind the Brandenburg Gate. There you will not only be rewarded with pure happiness, but also with your medal, which you can get a peek at. You will also find information about where we are going to celebrate together this year at this newsletter. We look forward to seeing you soon!

Real gems: our medals this year |
For many years, it has been a tradition at the BMW BERLIN MARATHON to honour an outstanding athlete on the face of the medal. Olympic marathon champions have adorned the medals over the years, as have world-record holders and other personalities from the marathon scene. This year it is double Olympic marathon champion Eliud Kipchoge whose face is depicted on the runners’ medal. The Kenyan also holds the current marathon world record of 2:01:39 hours, which he set in Berlin in 2018. By the way, Kipchoge himself will also be at the start on September 25 to receive "his" medal at the finish - and preferably as the victor!

Our Road 2 Berlin Legend continues with the next JOYMOMENT. The final preparations for the 48th BMW BERLIN-MARATHON are in full swing and we have taken a very special running route. We tested in a wind tunnel with Philipp Pflieger what it means to run in the slipstream and how motivating it can be to be pulled by a pacemaker. Would you also like to benefit from this on your 42.195km? Then take a look: THE JOY OF PERFORMANCE.
