What a day! Your enthusiasm and passion for fast-paced roller sports and the BMW BERLIN-MARATHON Inlineskating was overwhelming! You have achieved incredible success on your Road 2 Berlin Legend. Each and every one of you is a #berlinlegend! And while Eliud Kipchoge ensured a fantastic new world record with his time of 2:01:09 hours, Bart Swings has finally immortalised himself in the inline skaters' history books in 56:45 minutes: Never before has a inline skater finished faster!
The pictures of your happy faces go around the world and are far more than the background for these specatcular records! Together we celebrated marathon sport and set a sign for cosmopolitanism, tolerance and acceptance! We are already looking forward to seeing you again—at one of our many smaller or bigger events—and of course at the BMW BERLIN-MARATHON Inlineskating 2023, for which registration opens on Thursday (tomorrow).
