The Inlineskating Race The inline skaters had the first start on Sunday morning. Among the men, Ewen Fernandez (FRA) broke away from the field shortly after the start. “I handled the varying road conditions very well. At times it was completely dry, then wet again,” said the experienced French skater. He won solo in 34:04 minutes. The chase group stayed tightly together until the final straight and was joined halfway through the course by three women: Keily Delgado (COL), Alison Bernardi (FRA), and Maria Camila Carmona Mendoza (COL). In the mass sprint on the final straight, Colombian Delgado secured the win among the women in 39:28 minutes, despite a scare at the halfway point: she fell due to the wet road but quickly fought her way back to the group. “All the more, I am happy that I could win today,” said Delgado.
